FAQS

We hope that you find these answers to frequently asked questions helpful. Have a specific question? We encourage you to schedule a complimentary consultation here to discuss your needs confidentially.

A patient advocate is a qualified individual who assists patients and their families in navigating their health care journey. Whether it is providing an extra set of ears during an appointment, helping to explain the implications of a care plan, or coordinating with a patient’s care team, they are eager to assist in all things health care. We encourage you to learn more about our services here.

Your health care journey can be complex— full of emotions and lots of (sometimes confusing) information. For many, enlisting the help of an independent third party to help guide you can make all the difference. A patient advocate will always work collaboratively with you to ensure that you get the best care possible. Whether this means acting as a sounding board or orchestrating care amidst complicated circumstances, they’ll be there for you every step of the way. Ultimately, everyone’s needs are unique and talking them out can help. We invite you to consider speaking with us and seeing if a patient advocate can be of benefit in your care.

We have helped many individuals experiencing both chronic and acute medical conditions at all phases of life. Regardless of your age or diagnosis, your health deserves an advocate.

Generally, we operate on a fee-for-service model. Doing so allows us to dedicate the necessary resources to ensure that we provide clients with the highest level of service. That said, we firmly believe that your financial status should not have a negative impact on the care you receive. We invite you to schedule a complimentary consultation and we can discuss your needs in greater depth.

Yes! We offer complimentary thirty minute consultations which are bookable here.

You should know that an evaluation or case consultation does not mean we will provide a potential client with actual advocacy services on a matter and does not create an advocate-client relationship. A free consultation or free evaluation is intended to enable us to understand the nature of a potential client’s matter and to inform the potential client we will consider representing the potential client in connection with the matter. Before we can provide any advocacy services to any person or entity, and before an advocate-client relationship is formed, we must have a signed agreement with a client setting forth the our scope of services.

Also, the information shared on this call is intended for educational purposes only and should not be construed as a substitute or adjunct for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. You should always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health care provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition.

We are more than happy to connect you with people who can attest to the quality of our advocacy services. As care journeys differ from person to person, and due to the fact that many factors can impact care outcomes (for better or for worse), past experiences do not necessarily indicate a future outcome. For this reason, you may find it helpful to ask questions regarding the level of support or attention we provided to a client, what it was like to work with a patient advocate, and other general information which may be helpful in you making an informed care decision.

We adhere to strict standards regarding confidentiality. We comply with stringent protocols and all government-mandated privacy laws to ensure that confidential information is safe and protected. You should know that as a general matter of course, each and every member of your care team (advocates included) are required to protect confidentiality, except in certain circumstances, as required by law.

They may. We encourage you to learn more about the benefits you may be entitled to as a patient or insured individual. In the event you have access to a benefit, we are able to collaborate with them in a synergistic manner in your best interest. As a neutral, independent individual, we bring a fresh perspective to your care journey and can be an important, supplementary part of you care team.

We find that dealing with one point person on our team can help to reduce the complexity in your care. To this effect, we ensure that where possible, you have one main advocate which is assigned to your case. In most instances, Aimee Stoopler will serve as your patient advocate. As a board certified patient advocate, she has developed a unique expertise in providing care navigation and coordination services to a diverse patient population.
